Kos

Kos is the island that gave the world Hippocrates, the father of Medicine. In a lush area 3 miles away from the Kos town, you will find the Asklepieion or Sanctuary of Asclepios, the god of Medicine. The most important structure is the Temple of Asclepios, a doric temple of the 2nd century B.C.

You will find wonderful beaches all over the island. You can reach the closer ones by bicycle, a popular means of getting around on Kos.
